There is other things i would rather be prioritized over the dummy pilot simply because it would be a lengthy and painful process to get it working 100%.

And why would it be a lengthy and painful process to get a dummy pilot to be working 100%? Imo it can't be that hard but im not a programmer. Make the dummy just walk towards unexplored areas, can't be that hard to make it do that?

Imo smart pilot could be something that you can gain or find while exploring. Like a glyph that expires after 15 minutes or so. Exploring right now is also not rewarding enough. I'm not talking loot, but exploring could give maybe double exp to engage players to explore more and do objectives. The game right now is just press t until 71 then repeat. I don't know.

So let me get this right -- Auto-pilot engaged, your char just goes into unexplored areas by itself, right? Next you would want auto-attack, I suppose? Can you say auto-death if auto-pilot hits EP's?? Oh Sorry -- I suppose you would want auto-escape now as well, right?? and Auto-regen?? As well as Auto-re-entry??
