Atheism is the non-belief in a god.

Atheism does not state definitively that no gods exist.

Atheism is not an ideology. It is simply the single stance of not believing the claim that a god exists.

Atheism is not agnosticism - Atheism/Theism are positions of belief in the divine. Gnosticism/Agnosticism relate to knowledge. A gnostic Theist states definitively that a god exists, A gnostic atheist claims no god exists, an agnostic atheist does not believe that a god exists.

Any questions?

I don't understand the ideology though, mind expanding on what the core beliefs are for an atheist?

Never met an atheist who didn't act like an ideologue, always something they need to shove down my throat, they replaced the void left by not having God in their lives with some inane ideology, social justice, Communism, or something edgy that can help justify them wearing fingerless gloves and a trenchcoat around.

I get it you want to spread your doctrine around, if you want to have a civil discussion about it we can talk about it on Sunday at Church, most I have invited out have never showed up. They can't even defend their ideology in person, their beliefs don't hold much water when they're forced to have a social interaction. It is the reason Dawkins and other bumbling idiots get out played every time they try to have a public debate, their ideas can't stand on solid ground.

What is non-belief?

Also, what about strong vs weak atheism? You should mention that.

You have an amusingly distorted view of reality. In fact it seems you aren't able to comprehend what's actually going on around you. Probably related to your delusions about mystical, transcendental father-figures. Perhaps some underlying mental illness that is the cause of both? Have you been tested for schizophrenia?

non-belief is the rejection of a claim.

For instance - If I said to you 'I have a miniature Unicorn in my pocket' then until I produced or you had sufficient (in your eyes) evidence to support that claim you would most likely not believe me. You would have a stance of non-belief about my mini unicorn.

I would have a belief that you don't have a mini unicorn in your pocket.
