Now I'm not saying the holocaust was a good thing all round. But something good did come of it (at least for the Jews). The culmination of centuries of anti-semitism into mass genocide shocked the world. When the Christians finally got what they said they had wanted for an age they recoiled in horror at what they saw and almost overnight there was a radical reduction in anti-semitism and a huge surge in support for the Jewish people.
