i've been trying to come up with examples of how this tool would benefit this site in particular.

i mainly used it in discussion sections where threads can reach over 100 pages, it's a useful tool to help you get caught up with the conversation if you've missed the last couple of days.

sometimes i'm in a thread that i haven't been to in a while and i want to get caught up. i'll see a quoted post that i may also want to quote to respond to or see who or what they are responding to, and i'll have to click back a couple pages and sift through each post trying to find the right one.
this will eliminate the sifting and tedious work.
