Ofcourse everyone thinks different, found different.. etc .
but starting calculating costs of muting, or hours spend means nothing. also comparing with dropping items is nonsense. ... Actually hes asking if the CHANCES are higher with rising profs, which no1 answered. Why? Because no1 knows.
I cant even answer it myself. But my GUESS is its even harder to mute good items with high profs, but thats just me. The mass will do it tho. Needs thausends of mutes to get the outcome you want. It will come, keep muting.
Doing the math is pointless, that wont apply.
Specially people who have NOT muted as much or even half of it should not post here, seriously. Its 90% speculations and guesses. comparing with fishing/glyphing is funny and stupid at the same time, far from ontopic
Being in a guild with 8muters in the top 20 where results are shared is a good point for me to judge , i can tell muting is not worth it - it may pay the vault, making some upgrades now and then and filling gaps in sets. But it will NOT pay the hours invested.
Muting is a good thing to do when waiting for a climb, after a climb or having something to do while watching series/movies. For me as Hc player its just a safe way to produce items[even drunk, half asleep, or out of focus], thats actually why i started it back then.
If i would have invested those muting hours into playing the game i for sure would have doubled my gps and maybe found one or two 200ee items. i was close, twice 19x ee solo and once 24x ee in group..
[ i did not mute 200ee item yet, prof 53, can mute 50s up to myth ]
Im pretty sure glyphing is more rewarding and muting is only/more profitable/pays itself on hardcore, where you can sell crap 100ee items still for a couple of hundreds instead of remuting them or sell vs 19.90
but keep going, always fun to read other peoples opinions, even if some are far out
and ofc.. GL on muting !
That part about hardcore... Sooooo true. Wish I had muted on hc now
