HD 600 > 598, but right now you can get 598's on sale or even get a used set ( like headfi, for example ) for around 130$. DT 770 is a closed set, so do you want more bass or more open enviroment for gaming?

as for the amp, i'd get an amp/dac combo if you dont wana spend much. theres the schiit fulla, monoprice has one, and some others around the 100$ mark as well ( others will have more insight on this ).

Havent personally heard the 598/600's. But the 770's sound amazing. Would prob be better for hip hop, 600's would be better for prog rock
