it's pretty much a well known fact of life amongst people with a well informed mixed group of friends that you let the white guy do the talking when dealing with law enforcement if you don't want trouble - and no one in my circles of friends is upset by this, we just find it to be humorous

if you aren't aware of it and want to take a step outside the white bubble you've been living in to see it, you'll need to make some new friends

ones that don't put mayonnaise on their sandwiches

You can't force people to subconsciously not factor race into their decision making. A lot of people are legitimately racist, but society isn't racist because we have deeply ingrained stereotypes about what people are. We have stereotypes about lots of different types of people, they're not good but they're not so evil either.
