Back in day after the 06 run I was working at foot locker in west ed mall. He came in looking for shoes. No one recognized him but me. He had that giant scar on his neck then. Once I spread the word who he was we all congratulated him on the epic run. He's a very humble guy.

I agree seeing it could help boost his confidence and it is always prideful to represent your homeland.

Not like the Oilers are in a close playoff race and really need his services all that bad. But who knows maybe he was not interested in going over.
