So I wrote this in general chat at first, then i also posted it on another site, in case you guys necro it and said i got it off google or somtin.

But I like how i wrote this one, and maybe you guys will too.

Discovering Music.

A disconnected heart, in life how far will it bring me?
No tears will be flowing down these cheeks.
If I had wings, beautiful black wings, they would be cut free.
Some look and see nothing but a conundrum.
All my nights soaked deeply with rum.
But it is not to escape, for a disconnected heart feels nothing.

One evening, to escape, my body ventures downtown.
From a building, simple at best, came a wondrous sound.
A stir was felt and for the first time there was a beat.
I opened the door, and saw that there was a feast.
Many were sitting around, their faces the portrait of a smile.
The tables were scattered, and their inhabitants followed to file.
To my relief there was an empty one, in the corner, alone.
This mystery, this adventure, it is one that I condone.

I hear a sound, a piano playing.
The singers words, I do not understand what he is saying.
The sound rises and falls, and with it the mood does the same.
If only I could even long for such a thought, it is such a shame.
The only color visible to me is that created by the accompaniment.

A swinging beat, oh how sweet, its brassy sound reminds me of honey.
Tenor sound creeps through the mood, forcing you to endure its lively hum.
Steady is the bass as it strums out its hue.
Its sheen is foreboding, a glimpse of blue.

Will the color of the mood reach a disconnected heart.
A bridge is formed, its first foundation is sound.
Next comes a story, painted by the colors of the live.
It sways properly in the wind, the brass gives it realism.
Music is the board that will bridge my heart to feeling.
