There will be at least one person who believes in Jesus until the end of mankind. Bet that.

If so...do you read? (Be honest)

Do you want me to let you know why I believe in him and all the evidence I have to back it up?

I'm still gathering information but I could deliver it to you in one full package when it is ready. (Scaly would know what I'm talking about)

Or he could read the hundreds of thousands of hours worth of scholarship already written on the subject.

The scholarship on the historicity of Jesus is sketchy at best. Its largely based on "research" done when denying Jesus existence would get you killed.

There's tons and tons of contemporary analytical historical research on the historicity of Jesus.

Also I'm including the scholarship that tends to give evidence that Jesus didn't exist. I'm not necessarily arguing for one side (though I personally err toward the side that Jesus is a relatively accurately depicted historical figure), was just saying anyone would be a lot better off reading the actual research than some rand on d2jsp.

Men, its well documented that a lot of evidence for the historicity of Jesus that's cited in the literature doesn't actually exist. There's really no good source on that front. Its been thoroughly destroyed by the religious bias. The only way to get a good idea is really to first get a PhD and go from there.

I certainly don't think you need a PhD to adequately study the topic... there's lots of good, unbiased resources on the topic.

If the evidence cited in the literature you're referring to doesn't actually exist, then it's not what I'd consider good scholarship and it's not what I'm referring to.

the thing is the whole of the research lies on that evidence. It's incredibly difficult to actually sniff out what is and isn't good scholarship on this subject which is why I recommended to get a PhD and go from there.
