Made me realize adults are as hopeless as I thought all my classmates were.

It made me think about how big the world was. I knew there was the U.S., Africa, Europe, and the Philippines, but that was about it. Here was this place I had never heard of and we were going to fight a war with them.

Being so little, I didn't know my country was involved with other countries. I thought we all just kind of derped around and filmed nature shows about one another. It hadn't occurred to me the possibility that the world interacted that way.

It brought to my attention that we traded, fought, and visited other places. The world had become a much larger place than I thought.
