haven't updated this in a while.

Things are going well. I'm liking the split.

squat is up to 3x8x245
deadlift is 3x8x245
bench 3x8x165

Hamstring is getting a bit stronger. It's still weak as fuck.

weight seems to be about 166-8 where as in november it was around 164.

you're 167lbs putting up 245lbs squats 8 times with a hamstring that only has 20% left of its strength?

it's not 20% anymore. Probably more like 40-50% of what it used to be prior to the injury. it's still really weak by comparison but it's coming along.

I can't even really do 3x8x20lbs for an isolated hamstring curl.

The other leg can do 50lbs currently.

Man I wouldn't even be doing squats or deads after a injury like that, especially not with that kinda weight. But you know your body best, I hope for your sake you listen to it.

absolutely. I didn't start doing heavy-ish deads and squats until last month. The injury was last May. It was 6-7 months after the injury that I started deads and squats so the muscle tissue that's been damaged is as healed as it is going to be. It just needs to be strengthened now.

give this a quick update.

I reversed my routine because I play touch football on the weekends and leg day was interfering with my abilities on the field.

I now do

day 1 quads/hams/forearms
day 2 upper back and chest
day 3 lower back and shoulders
day 4 bis/tris and calves

seems to work well. sometimes I have a rest day between day 2 and 3

got 3x8x235 ATG (by this forums standards anyway) squat today. After hitting 245 @ or just below parallel I decided I'd drop the weight a bit and go deeper and work my way back up. going deep has really highlighted the need for OL shoes.... I wish I had the money for em
got 3x8x265 DL last week. Going for 275 this week
3x8 and then 2x6 @ 175 bench last week. Hopefully I can hit 3x8x175 on bench either this week or next week.

Hamstring is still improving, so that's nice. Otherwise I'm feeling good.

Being active again has raised my hdl cholesterol to the highest it's ever been since I started getting blood tests in highschool
my ldl is the lowest it's ever been (still too high lol)
So that's all good news.

I'll maybe do progress pictures one of these days...

Don't be shy, sugar.

Good progress and also great recovery in your hamstrings. Will they ever be 100% again?

the one that I tore, not likely. The surgeon didn't give me the impression that it would be, not without something like HGH anyway lol

It was actually sort of an amusing conversation. Unfortunately someone like myself wouldn't get that kind of treatment because of money and I'm not important enough lol

It's now up to about 50% of what it was pre-injury which is great. I'm pretty determined to try to get it to 100% to be honest.
