The Thunderdome is a place where it starts small but each monster afterwards get harder and harder and some have mechanics that would have to be accounted for it. If you reach the end, you face off against Lord Thunder. (name is placeholder)

You can only enter The Thunderdome after you have obtained level 71 or higher but you cannot be higher than level 100.

The Thunderdome grants experience. The idea is stuff to do other than master quest after 71 since it's kind of stale to level higher as it doesn't offer much excitement or real reward. You could do it as many times as you can before you hit level 100.

The difficulty should be rather difficult but there would be certain monsters who are resistant (not immune) to physical and magic. So if you know certain fights, your character could trivialize them and give people who aren't as gear powerful as others a chance to farm for gear. Also after each fight, you obtain a random buff. Every 4 fights, you engage against a Thunder Apostle who would be more difficult than the regular mobs. Defeating these Apostles gives you a spirit of Thunder (buff that gives significant bonus that lasts for the next 5 fights. There would be 4 apostles, a Thunder apprentice and Lord Thunder himself.

If you leave to town at any point during The Thunderdome experience, you must start over. Your inventory is changed during The Thunderdome to have 100 available slots to allow people access to certain gear for strategy during their visit to The Thunderdome. As well for any items they may find they deem worth keeping.

The Thunderdome can be attempted by more than just yourself, but difficulty will be increased for each extra person in the party, up to a max of 5.

Upon completing The Thunderdome , you gain guild points (number can be based on whatever seems fair) and a fair amount of loot. Profs gain is increased in The Thunderdome.

For every 2 times you complete The Thunderdome, you gain an extra stat point starting at level 1 that lasts until season end up to a max of 5. For every 50 time you complete The Thunderdome, you gain a lockkit which is an item that can 100% open up one door. This item is not tradable or transferable and has a limited amount of time you have to use it before it goes away, say 1 month.

This is just things or similar ideas that could allow playing beyond level 71, with the idea being it makes your character stronger, more drops, and allows your climbing and after much effort, can affect master quests themselves. Giving people the option after time investment to limit potential RNG with master quests but to still leave some RNG tied into master quests.

Now The Mirror Maze is something available but the idea behind The Thunderdome is something you can go into and if you don't complete it, you don't walk away empty handed and you can work towards improving every climb since you get increased profs, chance for better gear and etc.

And as far as "rich get richer" , the people who already have gear would trivialize it and just get stronger. This mentality is foolish. There are always going to be people who are at the top and it will benefit them yes but that's the nature of things. Things such as this would give a sense of build up people can actually hope to maintain. And the people at the top have something to maximize with. The Thunderdome allows them to increase profs, attempt harder content. The Thunderdome could always be balanced as well and increased and I made it end at level 100 to maybe give rise to other options after level 100 and also it gates people from just completing The Thunderdome over and over again on the same character.

I just went full Rex.

Inventories would not need expanded, vault access could be allowed. And lock kit I don't think so!

But the added prof and gp bonus after completion are cool.
