Nate and Sabine and others were resurrected when LS went down. Paul made a post afterwards saying he was never ever going to resurrect anyone ever again even if the servers burned to the ground.

After that, I'm not exactly sure if anyone was resurrected when their death was due to lag.

Also yeah it was Edball who got wrecked. It's probably the best hardcore death ever. Welling high level heavy weapons solo back in the day lol... love that guy.

Some of these LS questions have pretty interesting answers and stories behind them.

Anyone remember what kind of gear Edball was using at the time? This probably happened right before I started to get into LS.

I'm really not sure who has these records. I was thinking Rick on #1 if he MQ'd those 16 and did a handful of climbs that day.

#2, I was referring to 1-71s (basically most MQs in 24hours with levels earned as tie-breaker).

1. Either Rick or Niclas. Niclas did 16 climbs & MQs in a day legitimately, therefore would hold the record as far as the books go. However, it's entirely possible rick did a 16 MQ grandslam, then followed up by getting another attempt in in the same 24 hour period, which would give him more MQs.
2. I assume Niclas with 71 (or more) * 16. That's MINIMUM 1136 levels, and he may have gone into the 80's for many of those levels.

Edit: Regarding the welling question... I don't know, but almost certain it was a bug. At the release of hardcore, I was the furthest along (level 12!) and was hit with the 2 billion damage glitch. Note my character was NOT restored, and I never requested it be. After that, I never paid attention to such things. If a longsword one-shot somebody, oh well. Useless trivia.

Several were. One of the most noteworthy, as you used to be friends with Roy, would be David Blaine or whatever it was, which belonged to whoever the fuck cares, though that was a softcore character (poor jaykwik with his imperfect connections). Details though.

Datis and Team DC had one of the biggest most valuable gear rips in Hardcore due to the server being ddos attacked (gear or characters was not replaced after).
