Some people are rushing to claim that the US lost one but destroyed it and this is a propaganda video yet Rear Admiral John Kirby confirmed that the weapons they're showing matched the weapons that were being dropped... go figure.
Posted this in the other thread about the subject.
Not like they needed any more US weapons. They already have access to US and Iraqi weapons when they surged forward. They have tanks, troop transports and anti-tank weaponry.
It's not like the US is going to admit when they supply arms to "radicals" /coughs.
Now the real questions are as follows.
1. Were they actually captured?
2. Supplied by Saudi Arabia / the Gulf States - when they still saw fighting Iran via its proxies as more significant than helping Sunni fanatics?
3. Deliberately supplied by America - for the same reason?
4. Supplied by very wealthy individuals in Saudi Arabia / the Gulf States with extreme views?
5. Inadvertently supplied by America when it thought it was supporting moderate Syrian rebels?
Probably all 5 columns.
