Says an old quote and i have to agree with it, just that now i need some help to make my day easier and my time spent fishing more enjoyable.
And for that i have a special request - need someone to loan me 2 forum gold to be able to buy the cheapest rod from marketplace, with the note that once i will earn some forum gold will send back.
I really want to advance faster and catch higher fishes and need a fishing rod for that, my hands aren't young enough to use them simply through the cold water.

Hey that's how I got hooked on fishing!

While i raise fishing skill do i need cooking skill as well right? Have them both at level 1 and now prepare for next levels, also used the extra 3 forum gold to buy a level 5 fishing rod which will be used later.
And forgot to ask - can those fishes that i have in inventory be sold on auction house?

Yes and yes (although it's called marketplace here)

Level fishing, cook the fish you catch to level cooking. Cooked fish heal more hp/mp and are generally worth more.

Suggestion for you... make more characters to mule over your 95-100 life/mana fish, so when you get up to like rank 1 - 2 in cooking, you have a better chance
at cooking them @ 100%
