our embargo on Cuba has been active longer than our current president has been alive

(candidate Obama expressing that the Cuban embargo should end)

just last September, Obama extended said embargo

http://www.democracynow.org/2014/9/...s_embargo_on_cuba_despite_global_condemnation

188 out of 190 UN countries condemned the embargo, the only two countries approving of the embargo being the US themselves and Israel

The US should be able to decide who they want to trade with.

and American citizens should continue being prohibited from buying Cuban products so the government can continue their irrational embargo? (not to mention pressuring other countries NOT to trade with Cuba)

The embargo is an industry in of itself.

The government of the US and the government in Cuba gets along better than most people think they do.

The US rents Gitmo for the cheap and Castro doesn't even cash the checks.

but it's not a rational government policy

if a government policy is more of a disservice to the citizens than it is a service, then it should be abolished
