One part of this video is a microcosm for speaking to liberals. Watch what happens at about 3:25 into the video. Bill turns to the audience and says there is no more slavery and there is no more Jim Crow. The audience gasps at this statement, as if it was something awful to say. They all go "ooooooooooohhhhhhhhh!"
Here's the thing. It is a statement of fact! Slavery and the Jim Crow laws have been abolished! There is no argument to be had with that statement! This is the point I make when I say you can not speak about race to a liberal. The crowd took what he said as something shocking and offensive. This is why white men can't have an honest conversation about race. Liberals do not respond well to facts.
Reading too much into it. Stewart repeats it afterwards. The oohs were in anticipation of where O'Reilly was going with his statements.
Regardless you can't judge all liberals on Stewart's studio audience. Stewart oohs and the crowd ooh... It's a one man show. The studio audience just do what they're told.
