Not sure what you mean here.  Are you denying that the media is creating a false panic over environmental issues that aren't going to have any impact in the next several hundred years?

Yes I am denying everything you just said, the media hasn't given this important issue enough attention.

environmental issues are not overhyped at all, there's plenty of climate change denial going on

If anything people are too sensitized to Ebola.
Its sensationalism writ large. Effecting a whopping 2 people in the US and everyone knows about it.

Its not that news was necessarily truthful before, its that we had no good way of knowing when they were full of shit.
Now we can look online or have a number of other channels criticizing what the other guys are saying.

Yeah because I would have trusted Wiki or yahoo answers a whole lot more than Tom Brokaw

Every time the rate of ice melt on the northern caps is updated we lose time with our north pole. It is absolutely an important issue because once we hit a certain threshhold the positive feedback loops kick in and it won't stop even if we cut 100% of emissions.

It's already not going to stop co2 stays in the atmosphere for a thousand years.

And the solar power that was reflected back away from earth by the highly reflective Arctic ice is now being absorbed by the sea, raising the temperature of the atmosphere even more

The permafrost that is melting at a faster and faster rate will release enough co2 to DOUBLE the current amount in the atmosphere.

oh no
DOUBLE??
say it aint so!!
so you're saying the CO2 in the atmosphere might be around .07% or 700-800 ppm??!!

The earth has had around 7000 ppm of CO2 before and it didn't fucking explode
Oh and carbon compounds in a similar fashion to tinting glass, so an increase by 200% doesn't mean 200% more effectiveness.
see this is the kind of overhyped doomsday shit this thread is talking about.

Where has anyone said the earth is ready to explode? that's just idiocy on your part
and go out on a sunny day in the summertime with your tinted windows all rolled up and see how long you can stand it.
This is the kind of side stepping the issues with worthless facts that reveal nothing to lessen the importance of climate change.

Please show me some peer reviewed data that says 7000 ppm will be a human civilization friendly climate. Until then I laugh you off the stage.
