How about the tens of billions in unfunded pension and healthcare liabilities the unions should have lost in the GM & Chrysler bankrupticies only to keep them and garner major stakes in the corporations that emerged? That doesn't count for anything?

don't know the specifics here but why would you want all the union workers to lose their benefits that they've paid for all these years over a bankruptcy case? if anything when a company does go down under the employees should have first dibs on the left overs to make sure we don't have a large group of elderly folks with little to no money in their retirement years.

yes, these "benefits" are really part of their salary package these are wages that they have earned, when companies call them benefits they make them sound like a gift not a slice of the employee's wages.

I am pro wealth distribution up until the point at which everyone in America has food, water, and shelter. After that you greedy bastards can hoard your every last penny and I won't care. But the state of our nation is an absolute disgrace.

...you would have to force a quarter of a million people into shelter and medical care they do not want .

its an inter rational problem its just a plain side effect of having immense wealth in a nation the rich get richer poor get poorer and I mean this not in a conspiracy sense. There still is that corrupted roman senate ideology today.

"that starving rabble demands a bigger piece of the pie they can't be trusted" its worship of wealth these people value wealth more then life.

I'm for wealth redistribution but forcing such a thing is violation of rights. There are also other creative political ways to do.

But still it can turn into a slippery slope because your demanding a sort of class system bias. Well your rich you have to pay more. Well your poor you have to pay more grand twisted scheme of things isn't much difference between these to statments.
Really we should tackle monopoly's like how united split up the railroad industry we have major corporations getting ridiculous tax breaks if that's true it doesn't make any sense.

people are 2 kinds:
1 people that save money
2 people that use money to live

or:
1 people that invest money
2 people that put money in banks

or:

1 people that succeed
2 people that fail

so if you combine all these into: people that save money, invest and succeed --> you get 1% which are the rich.
