this just proves how warped your mind is because thats what you assume people who dont share the same view as you are thinking

because our existence is so finite that it is meaningful not meaningless. we are given the beautiful gift of life from nature, we should cherish it and not ask for more when we die
everyone wants to feel important sure, but having a totalitarian dictator on your side doesnt make your life anymore meaningful than mine, even if you THINK it does

peoples lives are meaningful in the way that they live it and enjoy it and are probably better off doing that instead of living in fear of something who they must also love

What reason does your particular god have for creating mankind?

At the very least, a theoretical God as described by the bible did it for amusement.

-Created man in his own image
-Gives man free will
-Establishes a list of bad things that you burn in fiery torment for all eternity for doing
-Said things are often a shitton of fun
