First of all, why do we skill?
Do you want to compete with your rank on the ladder?
or is it because you're waiting for a climb to happen?

I personally do it for the prof and for the competition!
I started muting few years back because I wanted the chance of getin that one sick item that was suppose to make me rich!
I've struggled alot doing it and I started do all kinds of skilling because I was bored and I needed to do something while I was waiting for a climb to happen.

But enough about me, Im here to explain for you what skilling does for you and how to do it.

The list of different skills;
Fishing
Cooking
Glyphing
Transmuting
Suffusencing

Fishing!

What does fish help you with?
It works like a heal, it will grant you xx - xxxx amount of life or mana.
When you fish, you will be able to catch both life & mana fish, theres also rare fish that has both life & mana on it.

When you start at rank 0 you will be able to catch t1 fish with a max 100 value on the fish
which means that the fish you get will have max 100life or 100 mana (or if you're lucky the rare on that could become 100 of each)
While you get ranks it will become easier for you to catch t1 till you get to the rank where you decide to try catching higher ranked fish.
There is currently 14 Tiers of Fish & Rods
Rods can have something called "Durability" on it. Durability will help you fish easier & will save you tons of time.
The only bad thing about rods with durability is that they start get expansinve on the higher tiers.

You are also able to fish from a well.
If you are rank 15 and fish from a well you're not going to get any t1 fish.
It should be the same at 30 about not getin anymore t2s

So before we get started I will explain a bit about "autostack"

Click Escape and you will see your settings pop up.
There is an option that says "Auto Stack Fish - xx %"
This is something you can do if you only want to.

IMO Autostack will help ALOT and it will save you alot of time.
When I fish I use 0% Auto just because I dont think its a huge difference between 50hp fish or a 85hp fish.

Example; if you decide to use 50% autostack and you're fishing tier 1 fish.
They are able to get 25-100hp so 50% of that is ~75hp which means all 75hp+ fish will be stacked together while all lower ones wont be stacked.
So you would still have to stack all the lower ones together yourself.

So back to fishing.

Step 1
Try to find yourself a fishing rod Tier 1
The best thing would be to get one with Durability on it.

Step 2
Click on "fishing pond"
Now you will get a new window that pops up.
You are now going to drag your rod to that empty spot and click "fish"

Step 3
Click on reel, when snag comes up click snag.
If you miss the snag and press too late there is a risk of your rod getin snapped and you do not want that to happen.
If the fish bar is about to to run out, click "release line" as soon as posible to not risk losing your rod.

The best way of catching a fish is to click on reel and then wait till you see the computer make its move and then you click again and so on and on.
With that technique you wont miss many snags and it will be much more safe.

Step 4
Eat them!

At what point can I start make forum gold out of this?

There is always people who is looking to buy fish, maybe not that many who need tier 1s but im pretty sure there is a market for t2 and higher.
all random crapstack t2-t4 fish sell to suffusers, not vs much, but there is still a market!
The good stat ones sell to alot of people at different rates.

Cooking!

Cooking is exactly what it sounds like.
THIS IS THE EASIEST AND FASTEST SKILL TO GET PROF IN!

The only thing you need is uncooked fish.
You can decide if you wanna catch them yourself or if you wanna buy big packs of uncooked fish and just cook them without fishing.

At rank 0-4 you will need tier 1 fish to get prof.
At rank 4-9 you will need tier 2 fish to get prof.
And so on and on... 5 Ranks / 1 Tier.

So how do we cook?

Step 1
Click on "cooking"

Step 2
Drag the Fishstack you want to cook to the empty box and press "cook"

Step 3
Now this works the same way as fishing.
You click "cook" and "flame" when that pops up.
The good thing with cooking is that you will not risk losing anything of worth
and if you're about to lose that one fish you're cooking you can decide to "stop cook" which will still grant you prof for that fish.
You will not earn full amount of prof but you will still earn some.

Same as fishing the best way to succeed is to play it safe and slow and do one click at the time.

Step 4
Enjoy a much better fish!

Glyphing!

Glyphing is used to buff you for a duration of time.
It can be really useful and very profitable for anyone who gets to the higher ranks.

How do you glyph?

Step 1
Pick up any tier 1 item (magical - rare) - Magicals cannot be EE

Step 2
Click on "Glyphing"
And now you will see 2 empty boxes, this doesnt mean that you have to put 2 items in there,
matter of fact you're not able to put 2 items in there, except for 2 glyphs!
Now put that t1 item that you picked up and put it into one of these empty slots.

Step 3
Click on "glyph"
Now 3 options will pop up!
"Purge" , "Transfuse" & "Inscribe"
They will come as a random order everytime you begin a new glyph.
One of these 3 texts will pop up and you will have to click the one it tells you
and as soon as you've done this next text will pop up.

There is also a text like "?!?!!?!" which means its a random one of those 3.

Merge

First of all you need to complete 2 different items so you will now have 2 glyphs!
These two glyphs can be merged together;

Example;
Magical glyph I, +1% Power Shot & Magical glyph I, +1% Fire Mastery

Now you gonna click on glyphing again and drag these two to one empty spot each and then click "glyph"
Now if u succeed this one you will have a merged glyph;

Magical glyph I, +1% Power Shot, +1% Fire Mastery

Notice that its only 1 glyph now instead of 2.
You are not able to merge glyphs that has the same stats as the other one
Both glyphs that you want to merge together has to be the same tier of items.
In the example above I was using two Tier 1 items.

At what point can I start make forum gold out of this?

I would say as soon as you get to tier 3 items.
You would make fg mostly on Max mana and XP glyphs.
What you would do is to scan the market place for t3 items that have;
~250 max mana+
or
5xp +
and you would buy them vs ~1fg each and then glyph them and sell them at ~3-5fg+ ea (if not even more, it depends on the stats of the glyph)
But there is easier and easier to gain fg the higher up in ranks you get since you are able to do higher level items.

Transmutation!

Alright, it's time for some muting!
Why do we mute?

We mute because we want to have the chance of getin that IMBA item!
Some may mute just because they want the essences for other skillings such as suffusencing.

Alright, so this is how we do it.

At Rank 0 you want to pick up tier 1 items that is magical-rare (you can pick up higher ones aswell, but they will take you longer time to do)

Step 1
Click on "Transmuting"
Put one T1 item into the mutingbox.
Start to mute!

Step 2
This is really simple, now you just click "transmute"
and when the "transmutation bar" is empty you have succeed
But its not just that simple, you will still have to "stabilize"
because if the "Volatility bar" get full, you will lose your item.

Step 3
When you succeed your mute, you will now be given an essence!
With that essence you can now chose to reroll the next item you put in there.

So what you have to do is put a new item + the essence that you just got.
Repeat Step 2 and if you succeed you will get a new rolled item.

So to get to higher ranks you are muting and breaking down items into essences
That you will later reroll and hope for some good rolls!

The essence you get from breaking down an item doesnt have to become the same magical type it once was.
Example; you mute a T1 Godly sword.
You still have a chance of getin that godly essence, but with my experience and my luck it will most likely become ~rare-mystical.

At what point can I start make forum gold out of this?

You can make FG at rank 0 if you want to.
Dont reroll your low level essences!
Sell them to people who is going to suffuse!
You will not make alot of FG selling essences, but its more than what you would be able to reroll to.

If you're lucky you could start reroll at t3+ if you wanted and try get some good dual stat items like for weapons you would want EE + Max Life.
or armors maybe the same combo or something like Int + Max mana or str + dex combinations.

This list will show you the Maximum stats on each tier you could posibly roll.

Suffusencing!

What is suffusencing?
It's for sure the slowest and most boring skill you could chose to do, but in the long run it will be really useful.

Suffusencing is a buff just like glyphing, but it doesnt buff you.
It buffs; Fish, Comfreys & Glyphs.

Suffusencing gives Enhanced Effect to these 3 itemtypes.

EE = Enhanced Effect

EE% will add more amount to the Fish & Comfreys
EE% will add more time for Glyphs

First of all before you suffuse you need essences and something to add EE too!
Normally everyone is using crap fish for the lower ranks just to burst through the ranks and get to the higher ranks as soon as posible.

So you need t1 essences and t1 fish.

Step 1
Click on "Suffusencing"
Put the T1 Essence stack in one of the slots and the t1 fish stack in the other one.

Step 2
This is why this skill is so boring, now you gonna have to wait till one of the texts pop up.
The texts you will see is "Suffuse" & "Extract"
It might not pop up at all or it could pop up to 20 times during that suffuse.
When you click on the text that comes up it will take back some of the "Permanence bar" which is a good thing

As Cooking this one can be aborted and you will still get prof.
So if the "permanence bar" would go down faster than the "suffuse bar" it can be smart to cancel it and still get prof.

Remember that if you fail one you will lose that essence + that fish.

Oh man thats a hard one, im not sure if there is anyone making alot of fg on this at this point.
As I've said, this is a really useful skill, but it takes alot of time and effort to get somewhere with it.
I would say this is the hardest one to earn FG from.

But not like the others you will not get bigger stacks total with uncooked/cooked fish
So if you want to add them to an even bigger stack you will have to suffuse all your fish.
