I take quite a bit of offense if anyone thinks a scammed happened in this transaction.  I've done over 50 trades in the last 2 months on JSP all with 100% smooth transactions.  I was as shocked as Raven when this happened and even opened a ticket with Anet to find the results.  Also took a screenshot a minute after the mail was there, would have done sooner but was dumbfounded at this.  I didn't want to send all 7k gold up front either.

Totally looks like an expendable multi account used for scamming

and who gives a shit about 50 trades?
Clearly it would be worth sacking the reputation of one account for 7000 GW2 igg
That's a lot of igg
It's also possible that Raven never sent the 7000 igg to begin with and is claiming "a-net must have taken the gold"

That or you are Raven's multi, who conveniently sent his 7000 igg to his own alternative account
Then sent half the fg transaction to himself
Then plans on claiming some proof to d2jsp of the problem, hoping to be reimbursed the fg "which was never lost to begin with"
And all while taking no risk of actually losing wealth at all

~ Hey just saying, I have a hard time believing arena-net would randomly kill your 7000 gold and not even send you a suspension or ban?
~ That doesn't make sense
~ Someone is scamming somebody, let's get real here
~ That or scamming d2jsp

If you're serious about no one being a scammer
I suggest you both discuss a strong back story for why in the hell somebody is sending someone else 7000 igg
And then submit a ticket and figure it out
Make sure your story is good

Anet never takes gold away from the mail itself.

They would take it from the account if there's suspicious activity.

I'm sure you work at ANET and can confirm this?

I'll keep judgment on the situation aside until I hear from ANET on the issue. It has already taken them 36 hours, so hopefully today I will at least have an idea.

The only screenshot that I can obviously provide is the Mail a minute after getting it, with no attachment and my inventory showing 17 gold.

If I gave a fuck I'd find the redpost.

That doesn't really mean anything, especially since it's a whole minute after.
Can just send the money to a friend and done.

If you're going to state something as fact and could provide proof that mail is never altered just the recipient banned I would love to see this data and if its current. I have searched and could find nothing stating one way or the other.

Like said, I don't care enough to find it.

I'm not going to waste time searching for a post from like 1.5 years ago that google might not even show up on google.

Daily dungeons / flipping is easiest.

Buying exotic insignia's and then crafting exotic armor used to net like 50-100 silver per item.
Not sure if that's still the case...
