see the whole issue with basically every "on-going" anime bleach, one piece, naruto etc is the fact that they don't only have one purpose (to provide a story)
it's like they have this mission B where they must help youth develop into respectable adults, or whatever their goal is.

Nothing is every "just a story". They teach this in every language arts/english/literature class from middle school onward. Anime is no exception. Even the works that aim to be purely for entertainment value only are still molded towards societal rules, and will still define good vs bad (or will try to make out bad to be not so bad/questionable)

yes and no, if you have a man drinking out of a cup. that is technically "molded towards societal rules"
or if you have a man being looked down on for killing somebody, but that is MUCH different then what i am talking about.

It's like power rangers. They don't talk to the enemies to stop destroying the city. They just kill on sight with their laser beam guns, crazy acrobatic jump/kicks and use their robots to kill em
But on the side, their real life course, they teach stuff

idk what your side of it is, but imo with the examples given above it is PURELY negative.
i don't recall any power rangers though, besides like this one time when i was 8 or something.

You dont think a man being looked down for killing somebody is the same as looking up to a "do-good" figure? An anime can not feature a protagonist that is 100% no questions asked bad. The target age group is teens-young adults, and mothers would have an excuse to protest and QQ. By process of elimination, the protag must be neutral-good, and there is no way to be neutral-good without having neutral-good concepts

fuck this is opening a whole new level of anger with the flaws in society, never thought of it from that angle though.
i wonder when/if some rich person will just make 100% pure media, without the pety taint that the majority of society loves to bathe in.
seeing as he will not have to fear such reprecussion, as he will have his own funding. and if the 15 year olds parents have a problem with the media, the kid doesn't have to watch the show.

people need to stop giving charity to all these existences that are just negatives to everybody else.
