Ok man. From what I can tell from this terrible audio the guy thought WLC was trying to defend Christianity when WLC only ever argues for a vague theism. Probably because WLC is a Christian and promotes Christianity and never specifies unless pushed to. So basically this random college student got conned in the same way that all WLC's followers have been. He thought WLC was attempting to validate Christianity when actually all he was probably doing was repeating other people's weak arguments for theism I.e. Kalam.

I imagine all the books with crucifixes on them that WLC was selling at the talk probably helped in the confusion too.

Clearly understanding nuance is a common atheist problem. Defending theism in a debate or speech is not the same as defending Christian theism.

Possibly. I can understand how having to sit through WLC talking for an hour or two without being able to express your outrage at the utter bullshit coming out of his mouth would be frustrating.
