I've been sober 4 months now.
I stopped using...holy water.
I'm Lodd222 and i'm a recovered christa-holic.

"If the gods have determined about me and about the things which must happen to me, they have determined well, for it is not easy even to imagine a deity without forethought; and as to doing me harm, why should they have any desire towards that? For what advantage would result to them from this or to the whole, which is the special object of their providence? But if they have not determined about me individually, they have certainly determined about the whole at least, and the things which happen by way of sequence in this general arrangement I ought to accept with pleasure and to be content with them." a REAL quote by Marcus Aurelius

Harm/suffering can bring about many good things.

#1 Biblical example:

Matthew 27:46 KJV

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

It's the best example in Christianity on how suffering can bring about positive things. It's one of the many life lessons atheists aren't privy to(because they believe the Bible has no knowledge).

If were talking about learning something good from going through something bad. I don't need a holy book to tell me that.
The bible is full of good things IMO but at the same time there is some really bad things.

Yea, it depends ultimately on how you define "harm" in the short and long term.

I hit rock bottom when I drank the secret holy water that Jesus offered me.
He said he could make water from a rock & I believed him.

The addiction escalated from there.

I don't think all atheists think the Bible has zero knowledge. I think some think it has some moral value, they just don't recognize it as divinely inspired or written.

For instance I think most of us can agree to the moral teaching of publicly stoning a woman to death for adultery:

"She shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you."

(Deu 22:21)
