If the character still exists, all he needs to do is log on that character.

If he deleted it, there's no reason his name should still be on the ladder.

If the character is gone, so is the Ladder ranking ... Delete one of your "ladder ranked" chars (if you have any) and see.
2 point option here - It will help achieve your goal of a "clean ladder" and it will make room for me to take that spot :p

Understand where you are coming from with this, and to be honest I used to think the same.
But after see'ing one of Bufs characters on BA table in HC section, it was a nice reminder of him playing LS in the day.
To be honest, in a sense, I felt guilty knocking him down a rank... but then I realised he would have been proud of that.
And it was a guildy that made me see it that way... :D

nulled vote.

Oh, and if deleted, your character does not appear on the ranking table. Otherwise my character would still be showing up
at #6 on the sword table for SC and other areas.

Voted for.

There is reason these mens are legends or whatever. Back in the days, prof was easier to get then now. It might be a demotivation for most new commers.

Everyone on there worked hard to get there, especially skillers, so they have a right to be there.
Everyone playing has a fair chance to reach them, maybe exactly this is the motivation to work hard!

When the ladder gets reset, the characters get wiped off the Ladder. But the skills and proficiencies do not...

My Suggestion: wipe them clean off the ladder when the ladder gets reset, but as soon as the characters log in, they re-appear on the ladder again.

There are a lot of characters on there that do not even play anymore... why keep their names on there?

I think leaving them as is would be best for the community. I know when ladders first came out, competition was so damn high that whoever was number 1 anywhere was always the goal to play and beat. Everyone else in between, were milestones on that ladder and path to be the best. Taking them out now, would just ruin that motivation for those who still have that competitive spirit.

Agree fully... damn... even if I see one of my character name @ # 2-5 spot in the rankings... I want to kick him off with another character.

I don't agree with your opinion... It's like the olympic games. If you won a gold metal in the past your name could be in the "hall of fame" forever. You won it, you deserved it. You're retired or not is doesn't matter.

it always works itself out. ones who stay inactive will be passed. some who leave for years can come back and continue. just how it is.

he worked his way up the spear ladder and now he plays hc, I don't think he'd want to be removed from the spear ladder at the end of the season just because he doesn't play sc anymore lol

example ^^

leavem be

I still have a full set-up for every class on sc. :P
