When the ladder gets reset, the characters get wiped off the Ladder. But the skills and proficiencies do not...

My Suggestion: wipe them clean off the ladder when the ladder gets reset, but as soon as the characters log in, they re-appear on the ladder again.

There are a lot of characters on there that do not even play anymore... why keep their names on there?

Paul did a purge a while back, cleaning out many inactive characters - permanently.

One may well expect that this will be done again some time in the future.

he worked his way up the spear ladder and now he plays hc, I don't think he'd want to be removed from the spear ladder at the end of the season just because he doesn't play sc anymore lol

If the character still exists, all he needs to do is log on that character.

If he deleted it, there's no reason his name should still be on the ladder.
