IPS stands for In plane Switchiung.

TN stands for Twisted Nematic.

For FPS you probably want to go with a TN monitor.

It ain't my fault, they put the I and the U right next to each other....and even worse, they keep making the keys, smaller and smaller. :)

Any type of gaming which has an emphasis on rapid screen refreshes (or movements) or pin-point mouse response is best played with a 120-144Hz monitor.

If budget is $250 or less, get a 120Hz TN.

If budget is $350 or more, get an IPS that you can OC to 120Hz (i.e. QNIX Evo2).

If budget is $(250,350), save up and get dat sexy QNIX!

I have some nice dell monitors that are IPS I've been wanting to sell. I've had them for maybe six months and bought them new. I need money for college. :(
