Doesn't seem like a lot for an empire spanning over a quarter of the globe. You obviously want us all to attach massive importance to it - you can if you want, just don't rage at me for not.



That is overstated imo. What part of American culture is so essential to the world atm? For UK culture I could easily say our language is essential right now, not just something that helped develop the world. For me, the closest essential thing America have is technological innovation with businesses like Apple, but they are becoming increasingly globalised and as a result we are seeing a lot more innovation come from Japan and China recently

This thread is a great example of why America is the wrong answer. Every American claims superiority based on dominance which implies a lack of morality.

The right answer is that there is no 'Greatest nation'. But if I had to choose then ideologically, morally, politically, culturally it would have to be one of the Scandinavian countries.

right. so if you have a plate with food, you have like: some mashed potatoes, some peas, some carrots, some bacon, some eggs. you don't have to eat everything

btw Germans only the schnitzel
