...tomorrow will once again mark the anniversary of the attacks of 9/11 , thirteen years removed from the horror that changed the world as we knew it just the day before . I saw those towers go up and I saw them come down and like all anniversaries of that dreadful day I will be filled with a profound sadness . I will watch the special programming that always marks the day , honor the minute of silence and I will shed more than a few tears as I do . And I will never forget...never forget...never forget .

I always watch at least an hour of the specials they do on 9/11. It's helpful to remember because we are still facing the same threat and our conviction needs to remain strong.

wat

I hate the phrase "never forget" because it implies we've forgotten or stand a risk of forgetting, it happened less than two decades ago, we haven't forgotten.

...there are numerous days set aside around the world to honor those who have died in war .Your own country calls in Rememberance Day and traditionally observes a minute or two of silence .

Balad massacre on March 15, 2006 committed by U.S. Forces, four women and five children, one aged five months
Haditha killings on November 19, 2005 committed by U.S. Marines, 24 killed

and many more...

9/11 was an opressed people's victory over the terrorist State of America.

But also this. The death of civilians in a war they had no part in is regrettable and tragic wherever it happens.
