I didn't want to be spamming with 3 or 4 blogs, so I decided just to make one. Here I'm just going to post about whatever I'm doing in my life, sort of like a journal. Currently, that includes school, tennis, weightlifting, and Astonia 3 Resurrection.

School
I'm in my Junior year of college. Right now I'm taking, Computer Science II, Discrete Structures, Linear Algebra, and Biology II. I hate all of them except CS II. The professor for Linear Algebra is absolutely terrible at introducing new topics and explaining things, so I think I'm going to be learning most of that class from the book. The professor for Discrete structures I don't think has ever taught the class before, so I'm going to be learning from the book a lot there as well. The biology professor is pretty legit, and I may not even buy the textbook for that class because it is optional. the CS professor isn't that great at teaching C++, but he is very knowledgeable. At any rate, I have C++ experience so I'm not too worried about this class.

Tennis
All of my tennis buddies are away at college right now, so it might be difficult to play. I was going to join Club tennis at my school but practice is 7-9pm and since I commute an hour and wake up really early I didn't want to stay that late. So I'm going to look into intramural tennis or just finding someone to hit with in between classes or on weekends.

Here's me getting ready to serve.

Weightlifting
Because school just started I haven't really been going to the gym. I went today but every piece of equipment I needed was being used so I did one exercise and then just left. I'm going to try to go Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. I'm going to continue with Stronglifts 5x5. Missing a week and a half really sucks but I just started the program so hopefully it won't be a huge setback.

Astonia
Right now, I have two level 30 orb alts (used to gather "orbs" that are used for gear and gold making) and I'm working on my 3rd. I only have 1 piece of my +7 set going. I'm going to start with the Lf/Ms/Immy items. In D2, that's like an item with +1 to skills/+30life/+15 all res. Next I'm going to work on my Intuition/Wisdom/Strength and Intuition/Wisdom/Agility. These are like D2 items with +ED%/+block%.
I think this one I might make into a miner that I can use while multi-clienting, just so I don't have to spend some money on Silver Units (SU) that is used to enhance gear.

Here's a picture of me on my alt, Sine, walking through Aston on my way to kill some demons or something.

For my CS classes we code in EMACS on a unix system and fuck that. The in-class assignments are really easy though. I did the recent one in like 5 minutes before class started. I have my first bio exam on Thursday and all my other classes are just cruising along.

I bought a couple of big blender bottles online yesterday. The stores near my house only sell the real little ones and I hate those. These I'm going to bring I school so I can keep on top of my bulking diet.

I finished my 3rd level 30 orb alt the other day. I decided to work on my main, Douchie, and in just a couple of days I got him from 30 to 37. I want to get him to 40 and I can probably do that before the weekend. I want 40 because at 40 I get more orbs and I'll be high enough level to escort my level 30s through their orb runs so I can quit paying for it. After he hits 40 I'm going to work on getting a few more pieces of my +7 set. I got one weld done and got a lucky drop that will save me a weld and some gold so it's coming along. Once I get a few more pieces I'm going to get Douchie to 50 then make some more orb alts I guess.

First exam of the semester today in bio. I definitely got at least a B, hopefully and A. I'll be happy with just a B in the class. Discrete Structures is the class where I'm really lagging behind. I need a B for my major so I'm picking up my slack in that class.

I went to the gym for the first time in a few weeks yesterday. I dropped like 10-25 lbs on each lift and it was still pretty tough. I guess that's what I get for not training consistently.

I got Douchie to level 39 last night. I have two random dungeons that should take me at lest 75% of the way to 40, if not 100%. I think by then I should be strong enough to get my own level 40 orbs. I couldn't do those areas at level 37 though. If I can't get them I'll just work on my +7 set some more first.

90% on that Bio exam. Got my first programming project. We have to program the game "reversi." It shouldn't be too hard, I think they just want us to get used to passing arrays into functions, and this just happens to be a two dimensional array. I'm falling behind in linear algebra now. The chapter one test is next week so I'll do some weekend studying. I really need to learn the vocabulary for linear algebra. Discrete Structures is doing fine. I don't know when the first exam is, I should probably check.

Went to the gym yesterday and my blender bottles came in the mail the other day. Now i can keep on top of my nutrition while on campus easily. Squatted 225 for my last set, still need to get back into doing deadlifts. I'm scared of trying a heavy deadlift just because I don't use any wrist straps and my gym doesn't have bumper plates. My grip is always the first to go.

Was supposed to play tennis on the weekend with some friends but two of them had to go to a family event so everyone else just decided not to go also. It's been a while since i played at all. But the France vs. Switzerland Davis Cup final should be nice.

I got Douchie to level 40 the other week and had a great orb run. I also leveled my 4th orb alt to 30 over the weekend. My +7 set is about half finished. I'm just going to level my 3 level 30s to level 40 over the next couple weeks. I'm going to do an area of the game called Ice Army Caves which is huge exp. I didn't want to do it on Douchie because it's better to save it for later. So hopefully I can get my other three to 40 pretty quickly and hopefully finish my +7 set. After that I'll probably get Douchie to 50 then work on some more orb alts. If I have 8 level 40s that's 16 orb runs total (8 level 30 runs and 8 level 4 runs). Since orb runs reset every 30 days with 16 orb runs I can do one every other day. I think that is going to be my goal when Douchie gets to 50 and after I make a +3 set. Then I'll think about making some pvp alts or a +12 set maybe. Or maybe a +7 warrior set since all my gear is mage right now.

First test in Linear Algebra this Thursday, and I have a take-home test in Discrete Structures. Linear Algebra seems to be mostly about just learning the vocabulary and theorems. The actual math I could to in 5th grade. So I've been studying it a bit and I should do alright. And with an open book/internet discrete structures test that I have a week to do I should be able to easily get an A. I just turned in my first CS project. We had to code a text based version of a game called Reversi which is a variant of the game Othello. It was my first time coding since last Spring so I made lots of dumb mistakes but in the end everything came out pretty solid. I don't know if I turned it in correctly but I guess time will tell. Here's what it looks like in NetBeans, which is a decent IDE but I still prefer Eclipse. I just wish I could get it to work with c++ on my computer.

Getting to the gym has still been an issue for me. I think what I'm going to do is go M/W/F. I'm not going to to squats on Wednesday. 3x a week was just too much. Instead I'm going to do upper chest and obliques, which are too of my most lacking muscles.

I got Douchles to 43 and he is now a maxed Master Trader. He was supposed to be my alchemist also but I fucked up his build. MT will be useful though. I almost have my 5th level 30. I was supposed to have 7/10 of my +7 set finished but I fucked up and wasted two welds. I can probably fix it over the weekend if I get the right orbs and do some leveling. Hopefully by the end of the weekend I'll have 8/10 pieces and 6 level 30 alts. I'm still going with trying to get 8 level 40 alts. Once iI have 8 level 30s I'll start leveling them to 40. With any extra orbs I am going to work on a mage/warrior +3 set just because. Once I get my 8 mages I am going to work on 8 level 30 warriors. I just want to use their welds then I'll turn them into Seyans and level those to 40. Then I'll have 16 level 40s which means an orb run every day. This will probably take a couple months though.

A on my linear algebra test, like it ain't even nothing. Turned in my take-home exam for discrete structures and I feel pretty happy with it. Glad it wasn't in class or I would have failed it for sure. Now the biggest thing it looks like I need to do in school is just consistently do homework. I know it's 20% of my math grade.

I played tennis for the first time the other night... worst I've served in years. It was kind if dark even on the lit courts so I blame that. Maybe I'll start practicing my serve more.

Got Douchie to 50 just for fun. Almost finished my 6th level 30. Once I buy some more silver I'll have everything I need to make my 8th piece of my +7 set then I'll only have 2 more to go. Then I guess I'll get Douchie to 60. Now I have to decide if I want to do the Seyan/warrior +7 set like I planned or do my Mage +12. The +12 would be really expensive so I might do the +7 first.

Got the gym today, it was rough. I really need to start being consistent with my workouts. Minimal progress or even no progress is better than regression. I just did bench, rows, and some incline cable flyes.

I found out on my linear algebra test that the 93% I got was out of a possible 116% with the extra credit questions, so even though I got an A I feel like I should have done better. Like on every math test, I went retarded on a couple problems, but I guess all I can do is stay diligent until the next test. I got a book in the mail that I ordered called "The Pragmatic Programmer". It's supposed to be a really good book about programming practices in the industry to stay productive and keep your clients/boss happy. I flipped through it a bit and it seemed that a lot of the book was about knowing what trade-offs to make. For example, there was an article about how it's okay to have bugs in your code if it means you can meet a deadline and your clients don't mind, as opposed to spending years trying to perfect your code without ever releasing it.

I have plans to play tennis this Saturday with my usual hitting buddy. Last time I played my biggest focus was to slow down my swing but make sure I had a smooth follow through and it seemed to do me well. Hopefully that will help this weekend since I've barely hit in the last month.

New CS project is to make a blackjack game. They gave us the driver and one of the class interfaces so start with so it really shouldn't be too hard. I think the project is mostly just testing us on how well we can make the three classes we're supposed to make and how aggregation works. We have to make a BlackJack, a Player, and a Hand class, and we are given the BlackJack definition, a Deck class, and a Card class. Also got a bio exam coming up. If I just memorize the hominid species that predate humans everything should be pretty easy.

I've decided that because of how bad I am at sticking to this bulk, and how much weight I've gained from my previous bulk, I'm going to just start a cut. I'm still going to try to eat plenty of protein and go to the gym to maintain my strength, but I can't be consistent enough to make any real gains. Also, I'm getting fat. But cutting is pretty easy for me. If I eat lean then I don't eat nearly enough to gain weight.

I was supposed to play tennis the weekend but it's raining all weekend. Gay.

My +7 set is still 8/10. I'm so bore of leving alts right now. I'm just going to get Douchie to 60, my previous highest level. I'm 53 now and I'm getting to the point where 1) I have to pent a lot, and 2) the +7 set isn't doing as much as it used to. The good knews is my pent drops are around +8-9, so I'm starting to collect singles to weld for my +12 set. I may start that before my warrior set. A level 40, maybe 41 or 42, orb alt should have access to 6 welds. So one level 42 can get me 2-3 pieces of gear. So hopefully I can make this +12 set with just 3 or so new alts, with the two welds I still have left getting my level 30s to level 40. I'm starting to get more +50% exp/1 hour duration potions than I can sell, so I can use this to get from 30, maybe even 27 or so, to 40. There's part of the game where you can do lots of quick quests that give massive exp, but also save all that exp until the end, then collect it all. Use the exp pot right before you collect and boom.

Got Douchie to 60, which matches the highest level I got in the game. Even with this mostly complete +7 set I am able to do a lot of the content my level, so now i guess the plan is to take him all the way to 70. Penting with Douchie is kind of nice because it allows me to 1) get drops that I can use in my +12 set and 2) multi client with a lower level alt. I am working on a +3 set and I have it about 5/10. A +3 set is easy because all you have to do is buy orbs, you don't have to do any welds. But a few of the orbs are expensive and I have the gold I just don't know if I want to spend it all at once. It will definitely make making the last few weld/orb alts a lot more bearable though.

Discrete structures is kicking my ass. This weekend I'm going to get some studying. Everything is going more or less okay. I've decided that Friday is going to be a designated day to get some studying and homework done, and Friday-Sunday is going to have at least an hour and a half of programming practice.

I bought some new tennis shoes. They look like this:

I also bought some new computer parts, so hopefully I can get my desktop going instead of using this shitty laptop. Also, if Destiny ever comes out on PC I'm totally playing that shit.
