I don't really care that privately funded hate/fear mongering groups are squelched...
Freedom of speech was never intended to stretch beyond a person to private interest groups.
that said it is a law that has potential for a lot of bad outcome and a slippery slope
I do care. Standing up for your rights/interests doesn't mean you're a hate group.
Intellectually, there is no difference (from a campaign contributions point of view) between attacking candidate A for opposing view C than there is supporting candidate B for supporting view C.

I have no problem with restricting those groups from running attack ads on candidates. It's one thing for them to advertise trying to promote their interests in a general way and something entirely different to single out an individual candidate.
Charles Koch is welcome to spend as much of his money as he wants to attacking politicians but he should have to do it as an individual. Groups/organizations/unions/corporations aren't individuals.
No it's not different. Are you trying to tell me your word choice and tone regarding the promotion of your interests should weigh on whether you should enjoy a right to free speech?
Most people don't have the resources of Charles & David Koch, so if they want to make their voices heard, they have to band together (incorporate).

We're going to have shit politicians until we get the money out of politics. I think this is an excellent first step.
When government wields the power to determine who may enter into business and how they may compete, the very first logical step of a rational, self-interested corporation is to control the competition via that very same government. Is there really any wonder why the US is an oligarchy?

...the founding fathers believed political power should reside in the hands ofwhite , male landowners . Never use a Constitutional intent argument to oppose money in politics because our government was designed for the more affluent class .
I guess I'm not sure whose specific comment this was intended to address.
