I don't have a religious opinion on tattoos, I just think they are really ugly especially on women

Hard to say, I imagine the subject matter and reason for wanting a tattoo would be the determining factors.
I personally have tattoo's, on my legs (Jobs and whatnot), and I'm a semi- trained tattoo artist. I like the art in it. I've never really been sure which way tattoo's go on the good or bad scale.
I refuse to do tattoo's of devils and things of that nature. I'm pretty positive that would be supporting evil, which is a no no.

Look at your reasoning, and what you wan't - then ask god. I think that's the best way to go about it.

We know our body is the Lords temple and that it doesn't belong to us. Getting a tattoo would be a sin, but Jesus died for our sins so you would be forgiven. But as for me, the conviction of the holy spirit is enough for me not to get anymore (yes I have a tattoo).

I have 5 tattoos, 3 of which are religious. I see no problem with it whatsoever and I'm positive God doesn't mind them either. After all, he created the tattoo.

I do not think tattoo's are sinful but I believe that tattoo's should hold true meaning as others said I wouldn't want a tattoo that is visible which might decrease my chances of employment.

That is not part of our era... My boss at td ( as a programmer , nor a teller) made 275k a year and was covered in full sleves and you could see them on his neck.

tattoos are cool.. in the bible it says some stuff about scarification being a sin, nothing about tattooing the flesh.
scarification is like nowadays emo cutting.. big difference.. no where in the bible is tattooing shunned. i've done my research. im a Christian and have plenty of ink done.
