Then dont join random games, only play with people you know or solo.
And dont open games to public.

Na I play along side friends usually, but if someone has gear to trade etc I'm more than happy to do it

Pretty much anything in the game can be copied, so anything that does not drop in your game for you or a friend is technically not legit as you dont know if the person you are trading/buying it from has made copies of it or not.

Yes they do.
If you are just looking for cashes, you could be missing out on some drops if you split them tho.

Well farm them shards then, trade em to the lady, get things to salvage. repeat.
