My hastily written hypothesis on Diablo players

2 factions of d2 players exist
1. Classic> ; rune words made this an epic game
2. LoD> ; rune words made this an epic game
3. Dabblers

The type 2 players tend to not like d3 simple because it is not the diablo they learned to love and have nostalgia for. Type 1 players love d3 and see it as nice progression from d2. Then some players in the middle who might dabble on one side.

Speaking personally, after playing d3 at launch and the new d3 for x1, I dabble on the type 2 side. I cannot play d3 for a prolonged period (like I played d2) in its current form. With that said, I think it's a significantly more entertaining game on x1. if you are a solid fan of the PC version and have console I think you would really enjoy it.
