Nuts to that, those were developed centuries ago by an extremely narrow part of society.
I think America's diversity is immense, obviously, and developed geographically. There seems to be quite a difference between New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, etc. I'd say overall as a culture we're extremely conservative, very individualistic (not using this as a derogatory term here), less family based than we use to be.
