Mmm, black hat conference is trying to deanonimize tor and will probably do it sooner or later. Lately there has been an announcement about a bug in tor that reveals users anyways.
Anyways unless IPTables has a proxy add on which takes all traffic and converts it into socks traffic then it is not going to work. That is what proxychains and torsocks does if you did not know...
Anyways you shouldn't care if your government watches you view scat porn. It's not like anything you do will warrant any wire tapping anyways.
They already have though, it is bad enough some kids at a Uni with a research grant can do it, to think some government folks haven't already or at least their contractors. Think back to heartbleed, NSA was using it to for a long time before it became public knowledge, I think the big exploits will always remain undisclosed for as long as they can be.
If this guy isn't going to post his configs or describe in anyway what he is having trouble with or how he has his network setup then there is no reason to help. He should read the docs, I glanced over them earlier and they explain everything pretty clearly.

No. Don't lie to the man. NSA employs people specifically to snoop through individual emails and text messages. They are like your own personal spy. At the end of the week the branch manager gets all the personal spies together to share the highlights of your life to the group, so that everyone is cross-trained on everyone. They wouldn't want someone to be able to up and quit, and then lose all of that research.
Tor was created so spooks could have a place to be 2spooky, then .gov realized that if everyone on tor is a spook that won't work out very well, it was advertised as a some grand grassroots movement of anonymity by crypto-tards. Now it is primarily used by schizophrenics, spooks, and paedophiles.
