Personally I miss the old smiley, and I would like to see their return. As Djsem said, guess they was removed because of the spam, but nowaday others are used in the same way as this one
So it would change nothing in the end, it's still spam, and even if you remove all the smiley and just write +1 for exemple it means the same.

No idea If they will be added again, or some new, however you have my support.
