Hey, so I have been away for awhile and id like to start RO back.

What are the best servers, somewhat close to vanilla, not to high rates??

And with a good population??

Woon-ro isn't bad. They have a very responsive staff who listen to what the community has to say, for the most part. If introduce yourself on the forums they give you some starting items/zenny. Devil's Square, Bg and woe are available, as well as modified pvp items (mostly favoring balance for all classes). Drop rates are set so that after killing 200 of something, u can usually find what you're looking for .(01 normally). Also includes private mvp rooms you can rent where u can summon mvp's (costs bloody branches) to fight. Good way to kill 2 hours with a friend. For the most part its very populated, with probably 300-400 active players, and another 100-200 traders/afkers.

Ok , so is 400-500 players active alot compared to some other server. I believe my friend told me that he was on a server that had like 1000 and that was pretty low rate?

It might have changed recently, they opened another server, which really only divides its population imo. I am referring to the pre-renewal server (their original).

Well i guess between IRO or Talonro since those 2 are thet only 2 popular on this forum.

Talonro has a good population, however it can get laggy at times.

Yep, usually near peak time. Its fine during off-peak hours tho.
