So, Shaul Mofaz is the leader of the Khadema party in Israel. While the plan isn't finalized, it appears to have support from important Israeli politicians including Netanyahu.

Basically, it calls for the complete demilitarization of Gaza in return for a 50 billion dollar investment from the international community. I feel that the offer is pretty generous from Israel but I sense that Hamas won't buy it because they are worthless to the Palestinians without military strength. In addition, it really depends on who the occupying force is in Gaza...I doubt that they'd want the IDF doing it.

So, in order for this plan to work, the UN will have to ensure that all rockets are disassembled, all rocket manufacturing is destroyed, all smuggling tunnels are removed, etc.

What are your thoughts?

I may be wrong but it seems to me that Palestine has very little control of what goes on in their territory.

any investment into gaza that does not come with sovereignty seems more like an investment into isreal.

I'm sure there will be string attached. It will probably be earmarked for infrastructure, hospitals, schools, etc. Like I said, the plan isn't finalized, but it seems like a good one for Gazans.

For the people of Gaza, Israel would offer a "significant, economic aid package for the Palestinian population that would include a budget of $50 billion over five years for infrastructure, welfare, healthcare, education, and employment."

What do you think of the offer? Do you support it? Do you have concerns?

if mexico was occupied by the united states, and they were attacking the united states in order to regain their freedom, how much would the united states prosper maintaining occupation of mexico while forcing mexico to stop their attacking and getting the rest of the international world to invest 50 billion into mexico?

any investment into gaza needs to come with sovereignty or we might as well give it straight to isreal.

Only if Israel is demolished and given back to its rightful owners, send the askenazis back to Europe.

It could happen in the future perhaps, but I don't see it as a possibility at this point in time. Not until Gaza is demilitarized.
Is it way better than the status quo? I think so. They should take it.
