I'd like that, but it's the Christian right that railroads book bans.... Kinda ironic that they get mad when their stuff is banned but when stuff they think is offensive is banned they're fine.

You should be expelled for preaching ideas. If he's preaching during free reading time, he should be disciplined because you're supposed to be quiet then. During lunch time or class discussion time, it should be alright.

Even tho I to this forum seem anti religious In this case I would condemn this action. the teacher should be reprimanded and reminded on what liberty and what the constitution says.

If I were principal the teacher would be fired. Reading is important, giving students the freedom to read what they want (especially during free reading time) is important. Reading habits start young!

Not all books are great. History strongly favors the victors and most writings in history are strongly skued towards an idealogy of the day.. A great example is Julius Ceaser in rome
