The evidence of most police encounters seems to support my claim and not yours :(

Standard police protocol seems to be yelling commands, pointing weapons, and using choke holds, tasers and other forms of brute force long before other options have been exhausted.

youtubing police brutality videos in your tin foil hut doesn't exactly count as a credible research

Making silly accusations without having any factual basis for your argument and just resorting to slander of an opponent?

Technically they are trained to deescalate.....

Most of the behavior is due to experiences accumulated on the job rather than during training I'd assume. Doesn't make it acceptable imo, but w/e.

This is when tasers come in handy.

Cops most likely weren't even realizing they were harming the guy. Just tunnel vision to restrain him.

Great use of resources right here.

In some ways they are trained to deescalate, in others escalation is very much what they are "supposed" to do.

huh? it's best for them as well, why would they not do that
de-escalating is the basis for any job that might involve confrontations

It was 100000% Police Brutality - they had 0 reasons to arrest this guy and 0 reasons to tackle him and put him in a choke hold.
The officer who was choking him was doing so delibrerately and while it doesnt appear he slammed his head into concrete - he had no reason to basically kneel on his head
and you can clearly hear the victim screaming for his life trying to tell them he could not breathe.

This is a clear example of ignorance and bad police thinking. Its totally disgusting. One of the most clear examples of Police Insensetivity and sloppy work ive ever seen.

On top of that - you can also clearly see that when they realized they really screwed up, (because the guy was dead) they immediately tried to clean up the scene and try to contol the damage when clearly they should have been performing cpr and obviously damage contol was more important than trying to save his life - that shows clear intention. Crystal clear.

Was a little obvious when he started repeating that he couldn't breathe. -_- Police training should include intentiveness to these sort of situations.

Similarly to firemen; police should have to acquire medical training and certification as part of their jobs.

This makes sense if their job is to PROTECT and SERVE the public. Lots of situations where police could be saving lives instead of ending them, and they would if they were required to keep on hand a small amount of medical gear and have the training to make use of it.

Replace some of their instruments of brutality with medical gear & training and it would lead to far more positive interactions between the public and law enforcement, which is needed. This is a improvement which we must make as a civilized society.
