This was day 3 to me. I'm lvl 31 now. I'm strictly doing PvE and just exploring and doing leveling that way. I've heard you can you get a lot of exp by doing World Vs World too, which Im' going to try soon.

I was a COMPLETE noob 3 days ago, now I feel like I have a big grasp on a lot of things, so just keep with it. Things start making more sense just by exploring.

you dont even begin to have a grasp until 80 though

leveling gets faster as your level gets higher.

EXP is linear in Guild Wars 2, unlike most other MMOs - the ability to do more damage actually speeds up the leveling process by a lot. 1-40 is probably going to feel slow though.

i started playing 3 days ago myself, and ive noticed xp is based on level not area

xp is based on both of those things while leveling up

It's worth buying.
I locked in around 5,000 hours on it, I'm taking a break from it for now.
