A+, Network+, Security+ are good to have but when I'm hiring somebody I can tell if they really know what they're talking about just asking technical questions and having them walk through how they would resolve an issue or implement something

Higher level certifications like CCNP or CISSP would make somebody stand out a lot more during the hiring process
