didnt they let themselves be bought out by a larger company? a more money hungry company than blizzard?
edit: just for the record, you're right about d2 LOD. it made d2 the game it is that lasted so long.

(A) Blizzard did not make Diablo III, Activision did
(B) I never said Blizzard was stupid but I will say that it was stupid to release Diablo III in the shitty state that it was in when it arrived ~ If you disagree, you have a soft palate for gaming
(C) What was Diablo II before LoD? The game that birthed e-trading, 3rd party e-currencies "hello d2jsp" and the development of real gaming economy, The SOJ, items being widely being sold on E-Bay and Forum Gold
(D) What was Diablo II after LoD? Legendary ~ What is Diablo III after ROS? A slightly less boring game, that still has the most broken and boring pvp that most people have ever seen ~ Seriously 9/10 players would agree on this
(E) Blizzard knows what to do next? That's hilarious, I'm not sure if you're trolling or being serious

i'll tell you my personal comparison. i only got 3-4 months of playing D3 before getting bored as fuck with it.

GW2, on the other hand, i got a whopping year of playing before i got bored as fuck with it.

GW2 much better!

I played D3 only because I got it free with my WoW sub. Once you get to max level nothing to do but grind on mobs forever.

GW2 is much better game with much more to do imo. It's a more open ended game to play.

If you like building toons in a friendly environment you'll like GW2. People in game will actually help you most of the time and are much less elitest then some people in the other games that are around.

But like anything, this is only my opinion here and ymmv.

I like the game, some may not, that's life.

GW2 is having a free weekend Sept 25-Oct 1 so you'll be able to try it out for free very soon.

GW2 trading works on an ah basis or by the mail system. No face to face trading in the game.

The game areas aren't level gated at all. You're free to go anywhere you want any level any time.
