You can check much more easily. just go to Windows Updates and look at the Optional Updates...that's where this one lives.
If you DON'T see it listed, then it may have been installed, and may be the reason for the TWO Nvidia driver entries.

Not saying this is your problem...it's just a remote possibility, after you talk to Creative.

Okay, I did find that display driver in the update history here..

how can a GFX display driver have anything to do with sound tho


BUT when going to installed updates to remove them I can not find it.

It has to do with Nvidia HD Audio, which is a optional part of the Nvidia driver. It's main reason for being is so that if you watch a movie from HDD to TV for example, the audio for the movie, has to come from/through the vid card.


/e If you so choose, the way to remove an update is to click on "Installed Updates" (top center), and in that window, you can uninstall updates.

thats what I did it's not showing up in there tho.
