as much as I like action, HxH is known for the amazing story and background and politics. If you want no-text finish chapter in 20 seconds, go read KnB, bleach or fairy tail

I am well aware, it's just felt like these past few chapters has had a lot of repeated information.
I'm not bitching, just itching for some adventure after all these years.

i think its gonna be one of those things where gon's nen is storing itself up
he has twice before; if you remember, been restricted from using nen that resulted in a huge leap in power when it comes out.
so now its like his body's way of preparing for a danger he subconsciously senses

If you're referring to Celestial Tower and early Chimaera I think both are very different.

In celestial, he was still allowed to practice ren (I think it was ren), which is basically all he needed because he had just learned about it.
And in the other case, he had already been training a lot prior to actually losing the nen, every day without resting (I believe this was the case), so during the time he had lost it, he was meditating and resting (I guess you can call this storing up).

But now, in his current state, he has basically already used up all of his nen, it's not just restricted like from Knuckles ability.

i dont think nen can be "used up," the consequences of the deal he made with himself to transform his body were far more significant than losing his nen
no matter what his reasoning for not using, or rather; releasing his Nen was the first two times the fact of the matter is
he didnt use it
this "meditating" as you call it is actually, practicing Ten the art of keeping the aura from leaking away from his body

he was told by both wing and biske to practice to practice Ten every day why do you think that is?

anyway a single 1/3 page picture and the text "my aura isnt coming out" is hardly enough to make a concrete answer out of just my theory

Pariston still bothers me.
He's like the same version of Hisoka/Illumi but worse.
