season pass doesn't mean ALL FUTURE DLC. Just like how KI or other games work in seasons. This is a new season coming up with SEVEN, thats right 7 characters (cyrax, sektor, smoke, and cyber subzero have zero shared specials) + the other 3 characters with 3 unique variations


Add that they are giving the Pit stage for free, balance updates, brand new netcode..my god people. $20 for this much content to keep it fresh and intersting is nothing. Not intersted in those characters, don't buy the pass then, you can still have access to new online/balance

Don't get me wrong, I full on plan on going ham on sf5 only really and plan to unlock every character with the fight money.

but MKXs dlc isnt that bad compared to games like evolve that launch with 120$+ day 1 dlc.

Well fuck them both then. Season pass should mean all future DLC. Now they are trying to suck more money out of the community.

Yes..that's exactly what season pass means
You buy it, All dlc is included
Look at call of duty for example..you get the season pass..you get all the levels and missions that they put out
Battlefield..you bought the dlc?
Enjoy the everything that comes after!
Etc. Etc.
60$ for the game which had about what..30 playable characters?
30$ for the season pass which mind you, isn't described as season 1..which only included 4 characters? And they didn't even add achievements/trophies!!
Now they want $19.99 for 4 more characters? Yes..4..leatherface, Alien, Bo'Rai Cho and Triborg..Which I'm sure as the past has told us before, won't include more achievements!
So now you're at $110.00 for essentially, what the $60 version includes..because let's face it..8 new characters for the additional $50 is all cosmetic and holds no real value

Maybe the pack you're talking about is their $59.99 deal for the pre-order of MKXL which is still a ripoff..it's MKX which is already what..a year old now? and includes the season pass and new Kombat pack..and there's no mention of cyrax and smoke and everything else you've mentioned

Not for nothing but you're insane if you think the season pass shouldn't include everything and for thinking it's worth even more money for a couple of characters

They never even said it was a season pass, its listed as "Kombat Pack"


they said the 4 characters + skin packs. they never said you get all DLC for life in MKX.

It is worse than you think because it's trying to be a competitive fighting game
What I mean is that by making the characters cash only, people who don't purchase them have a disadvantage when playing against them because the lack of access to train, practice, and frame data for them
Its a very stupid model
Did you know about the Tanya fiasco right before esl?
tanya wasn't released long enough, people didn't have experience against her, people were abusing with her, and 80% of the tournament were Tanya's lol
Dont get me wrong the game is fun but the mechanics are broken and it is pretty much almost done
The top players even often comment on how broken the game is
Usf4 has more players playing than mkx now and it came out like 5 years ago
Same goes for tekken tag 2
