I like this game I have been playing for quite some time. I stopped playing for a while...work/college etc, but I want to start a new character for some fun..was thinking between thief, necro, or ele. I have a Guardian and Engineer, and I like both, but looking for something different in skills and maybe more of a Dpser class more of less to a PVE than a dungeoneer and party buffer, if you know what I mean ( I understand that this game is built around pure DPS). I want to dps for fun and pvp here and there. Any help with this decision?

My first was an ele love playing her but I do also like my war all depends on the challenge ou want think the ele takes more to get used to and more strat behidind It

Ele is popular right now, for dungeons and PvP
Recent patch has really helped the class
Just beware of Thiefs/Rangers
It's pretty much their job to chase you and stop your DPS now, with current meta

Necro is cheese PvP if you want something easy to learn, that's powerful
But it has a learning curve, this class offers less in PvP, the more experienced you get
It's also not preferable in most dungeon situations nowadays, unles you're playing pure marks/wells with the right traits

Thief is still excellent for PvE and PvP
Learn to use Dagger Main / Pistol Off-Hand and utilize Black Powder shot for AoE blinding and Heartseeker through the BP Shot for quick invisible in to frequent backstabbing


All in all, I suggest Thief
The gameplay is fun as hell

Worst. Suggestion. Ever.

I never suggest anyone to play thief. It's the one class that will always piss off people every single patch.

If you want real fun, with ease of play, stick to warrior or guardian.

Y'know every time one of these stupid fucking threads come up about "I cannot look up classes myself and decide what to play on my own, help me!" EVERYONE says warrior.... I should try a warrior, I think it is the one class I've never tried. Ha.

If you want to play a boring class that will kill everything : Warrior

If you like a slight challenge ( sarcasm) : Guardian

If you actually want to try and play this game without ezmode : Ele
